Celery

Coming from the Mediterranean. It belongs to the Umbeliferae family and to the genus Apium.

It is a plant with pivotal root, potent and deep, superficial secondary roots, herbaceous stems of 30 to 80 cm of height, large leaves that sprout in the form of crown. The petiole is a fleshy and thick penca. It has white or purple flowers and the fruit is an achene.

It is one of the most consumed vegetables in the world being its main producers the temperate countries of Europe and North America.
