Apricot

Crops originating in China. They belong to the family Rosaceae and to the genus Prunus.

These are trees of varying height between 4 and 10 m, generally. They have branched roots, leaves with the margin finely sawed, flowers usually solitary and pink, white or red and the fruit is a globular drupe.

Its importance is that its fruits are rich in vitamins and the countries most producers are China, Italy, the United States and Turkey.
