Raspberry

Native to Greece, from where it spread to Italy, the Netherlands, England and North America.

It belongs to the genus Rubus (Rosaceae family) and is a shrub measuring 40 to 60 cm, with superficial thin roots, green oval leaflets (bundle) that have a whitish underside, it has small flowers which can be white, green or pinkish and a fruit formed by numerous drupelets that can be red, yellow, white or black with tiny yellow hairs attached to it.

Its production has increased in the last few years, with the main producing countries being Poland, Serbia, the United States and Mexico.
