Kiwi

Originally from China. It belongs to the family Actinidiaceae and to the genus Actinidia.

Ligneous tree or liana with alternating deciduous leaves, with toothed rim and villi on the underside, white flowers grouped in cimosas inflorescences and the fruit is a large, ellipsoidal, brownish-skinned locust bean or capsule with green pulp and numerous small seeds.

Its importance lies mainly in that it is an excellent antioxidant and the countries most producers are China, Italy and New Zealand.
