Blackberry

Coming from Asia and Europe. It belongs to the genus Rubus and to the Rosaceae family.

It is an annual herbaceous plant, with pivotal root, straight and branched stem, leaves with the clearest and alternating lower face, with whole or slightly jagged edges and white flowers placed in lateral inflorescences. Its fruit is a globose berry of dark blue or black color.

The United States is the world’s largest producer, although New Zealand and Chile also stand out, and most of the production goes to processing.
